Monkton Wyld Court is a registered charity housed in a picturesque 19th-century Neo-Gothic rectory nestled in the idyllic Dorset countryside. Our eleven-acre estate is located in a secluded valley within walking distance of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. It offers a unique and tranquil setting for various events.
With a range of facilities, including a meeting hall, marquee, and private cabin, we host large groups, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions.
Our passion for sustainable living shines through in our diverse educational courses and low-impact practices. We also provide simple yet comfortable bed-and-breakfast and self-catering accommodation at affordable rates.
Volunteer with us and contribute to a vibrant community dedicated to sustainable living. Tasks involve gardening, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining our historic house and grounds.
Immerse yourself in hands-on projects alongside our community, learning and practicing valuable skills. Our charity emphasizes education about sustainable practices, and you’ll gain insights into innovative systems like our WETland waste water treatment, water recycling, and solar energy.
You will work for about 38 hours per week.
Learn about sustainability while volunteering in the UK – what we offer
In return for your help, you’ll receive your own private room with a single or double bed, hot water, and a shower. During busy periods, room sharing might be necessary.
We also provide volunteers with a full board featuring delicious seasonal produce sourced mainly from our own organic walled garden.
Enjoy two days off per week to explore the breathtaking Jurassic Coast and the charming town of Lyme Regis. The beaches are just a short 3-mile journey away.
