Work exchange in a hostel – requirements & tasks
Craving sun, sand, and good vibes? Ditch the 9-to-5 and join our vibrant hostel crew in Peniche, Portugal! We’re searching for energetic adventurers (solo or duo) to experience the laid-back surfer lifestyle.
Our hostel is nestled close to world-class surf spots and stunning beaches. It offers a relaxed atmosphere and shared spaces – kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. Our hostel is perfect for making lifelong friends with fellow travelers!
Your main tasks will be keeping our space clean, assisting at reception, and handling smooth check-ins/check-outs. We also appreciate creativity, marketing skills, or an eye for photography.
The working schedule is 2-3 hours per day, six days a week in low/mid seasons and up to 3-4 hours per day in the summer. Your responsibilities are manageable, leaving you with plenty of free time to explore hidden coves, catch epic waves, and soak up the Portuguese sun.

In exchange for your work, we offer a private room (shared with another helper). You will also enjoy a free breakfast, access to laundry facilities, fast WiFi, one surf lesson, and a beginner surfboard.
