Cultural exchange for English speakers – requirements & tasks
The Canadian English Institute is situated near the historic center of Cuenca. There are many restaurants, shopping centers, cafes, bars, and more. The institute resides in a prestigious sector known as the Av. Remigio Crespo sector.
We offer our students English courses which are aided with cultural exchange. We create a vibrant community of international visitors and students. This exchange extends beyond the classroom – we engage in various activities, enriching the volunteers’ experience.
Volunteers have easy access to interesting attractions such as the historic center, churches, Mirador de Turi, parks, sports areas, gyms, and nature reserves. As a host, we aim to provide volunteers with a unique and enriching experience, granting them free hand to enjoy their stay to the fullest and hopefully recommend our institute to others.
We have a warm and welcoming community at our center that invites international travelers to stay with us. In return, we request a small amount of your time (about 22 hours per week) to engage in conversations with our students and assist them in enhancing their English skills.
The schedule is flexible so that you can adjust it to your other projects or sightseeing.
Cultural exchange for English speakers – what we offer
We provide volunteers with a breakfast. As for accommodation, you will have access to a fully furnished space with all the basic amenities provided. We offer a private double room as well as a private single room.
