We are a family of four, with two young adult children studying at university. We live with two Australian shepherd dogs, two cats, and a host of wild animals.
Having travelled extensively and spent two decades in Southeast Asia, we appreciate meeting new people and sharing life and work experiences. We understand the joys and challenges of travel firsthand. In 2019, we bought a 55-hectare expanse of forest, a sizeable blueberry patch, and a modest market garden. We constantly enhance our farm and remain dedicated to its ongoing improvement.
Aurélie, originally from France, works part-time for an agricultural organisation. Meanwhile, Pascal, a Canadian, is always busy with various projects on our farm. Our property is located approximately 5 kilometres from a small village where all essential amenities are available. Additionally, we’re just 20 kilometres away from a small city with a population of 15,000. Life here is tranquil.
Volunteer have an opportunity to learn how to cultivate vegetables, cut flowers, and harvest blueberries by assisting us. We need help with a variety of tasks like seeding, transplanting, weeding, fertilizing, harvesting, washing, and packing. Work occurs both in the fields and in our tunnels.
Form time to time, we work in challenging conditions such as heat or rain, but we adjust daily activities according to the weather. For example, we may work in the tunnels during rainy days or start early in the morning to avoid the heat on hot days.
You will work for about 20 hours per week. You can take half-day shifts, with the possibility of extending your hours if desired.

We provide volunteers with a full board. You can sleep in our guest room in our old farm house with access to shared bathrooms. In your bedroom there is a desk where you can work on your own projects, with good WiFi access.
